Mr Sean Collins

Sean Collins is the co-founder of Student Energy, a global non-profit focused on building a movement of young leaders committed to transitioning our world to a sustainable energy future.
Sean has an incredible experience in strategic consulting, marketing, sponsorship and fundraising and organization building. Sean has his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Sean is known for being the U of A’s youngest instructor having taught a business competition strategy class for two years and was also a sessional instructor at Simon Fraser University. He was also a founding board member for JDC West, a Canadian business case competition that aims to create elite young business leaders in Western Canada.
Sean has strong ties in the tech community in both Calgary and Edmonton. He has a passion for start-ups and has spent the last three years learning how to start and build successful companies with a focus on securing backing to be successful in highly competitive markets. In total, Sean has raised over $4 million for various events and ventures in the past 5 years alone.
Sean was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 for Edmonton in 2012.
